All Real Men Drink A Specific Brand of Cheap Beer

Today am sharing you about Bir Bintang, the only (super) known beer from Indonesia.

Obviously there are people brewing their own traditional style of beers and liquors (such as Balinese sake), we also have traditional non alcoholic drink that is referred to beer as well, called bir pletok, growing up I think there was Anker beer (it should still be available today, but am not too sure), and back in 2006 I learned there is a Bali Hai beer, which has been around for awhile too actually, and am sure there are more commercially sold beers, yet only Bir Bintang that is most known locally and internationally as the best Indonesian beer.

Foreigners know, heard, and been to Bali, the Island of Gods, and on this island, the most sought souvenir would be Bir Bintang t-shirt! It is a bit funny when you bump someone at grocery store(s) here in Canada (in various provinces, I must add), or at an event somewhere in Germany, or at a train station in Budapest, Hungary, and they wear Bir Bintang t-shirt. You'd know they've been to Bali 😂 As it is only sold there.

And him again, when he visited Indonesia at last and got himself a couple of said t-shirts 😀

Now before I bid good night, I don't know how and why Bir Bintang is branded as the best beer in and of Indonesia when I know so many tourists say it's just OK, nothing special. I could make a wild guess tho, because tourists find it cheaper for their money, compare to beers in their own countries 😂

But you know what they say, All real men drink a specific brand of cheap beer😉
