Beer: Windhoek Draught
Some of you might know that, I went on a Bike road trip yesterday as described in my post Bikes, Beers and good company. On this trip we had some beers, which I will show in my next 2 posts.
The one I am looking at today is Windhoek Draught. This beer comes on tap and not out of a bottle. Just look at the beautiful color of the beer in the glass and the nice condensation on the glass - ice cold - nice. (This beer can be bought in a bottle as well, but in this case we got it on tap.)
Some background on the Windhoek: The company was started in 1920 when 2 German friends bought 4 small breweries, which they consolidated into one company. They formed South West Breweries. Later when South West Africa became Namibia, with independence, the name was changed to Namibia Breweries Ltd.
For the 2 friends there were only one way of brewing beer, and that was on the traditional German way, by only using the best natural ingredients.
Today this brewery is a major company.
The second round came before breakfast - it makes sense - it is quicker to pour and drink, than to fry and chew!!

Even Superman loves his Windhoek draught as it is a nice light beer, that does not weigh him down, when flying.

All along the table we were enjoying our Windhoek Draughts. Just for interest sake, the two gentlemen in front (on the photo below) are both in their 70's, the one on the right is 77 and the one on the left is 79, and both did the 140 km trip with the classic bikes - the Windhoek Draught keeps them young!!

Below is a short video on Windhoek Beer.
The photos were taken with my iPhone.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
