Bikes, Beers and good company

So today was the big day for our classic bike ride. The photo above show our trusty steed the 1963 BMW R69S. The photo below shows my wife and I all kitted out for the evant

We met up at Centurion Bavarian Motorcycles, we could only drool over the new bikes, at least we got a cup of nice coffee on the house.

The photo below shows the guys arriving. After all have arrived we departed for Hartebeespoort dam.

We stopped en-route at a petrol garage to stretch our legs.

Then we rode to our destination, Upperdeck Restaurant at Hartebeespoort dam.

Here we socialized while waiting for our breakfast.

Some more socializing while waiting for breakfast. Superman said he prefered riding to flying, thus he joined us for the outing.

Finally the food arrived, below is a photo of a hamburger.

I opted for something more traditional, bacon, egg, mince and toast.

After breakfast we departed for our final destination "Oppi Stoep Restaurant"

Here we socialized some more.

In total we were only 11 bikes, with 12 people, only I had a pillion. We had a great day riding and socializing with like minded people. The age range for this ride ranged from 31 to 79 years. It is amazing that these older gentlemen, can still participate in a ride like this. We covered a distance of 145 km, with minimal problems.
