Brew Day
It was a nice day to brew beer today, so I hooked up the burner and prepared to start the boil.
The grains have been steeped, time to crank up the heat. Ah, it's boiling away quite nicely now.
After the boil was finished and all the hops added the wort is cooling in preparation for the yeast to be added and the fermentation to begin.
After 2 weeks fermenting, with the addition of some charred oak cubes, it will be bottled, well on it's way into something similar to this:
Hopefully it tasts just as good.
Not a bad #BeerSaturday.

I'm looking forward to trying this in a few months!
Some day I will try.
Any good advice on how to start easy with good results?
The biggest advice is:make sure you keep everything clean. If you think you need to clean something again, do it. Iodophor is your friend.
Get the joy of homebrewing. Try a kit. I recommend if you don't use a kit go with a partial mash option.
Thanks my Lord! ;-)
Will look for a kit - will be fun!
Additional recommendation- find a homebrewing supply place and see if they do a class or have a local group of zymurgests who will let a new brewer borrow stuff for a first brew.
We inherited our first set-up and brewed with an experienced friend for the first 2 beers. We have had friends join us for brewing who later started brewing on their own. I found it really helps to have someone to give instructions the first time. Because it is WAY easier than expected but still takes some attention to detail.
That sound like a great plan. Will have a look around.
