Golden Nugget is a 6.8% alcohol/volume American IPA made by Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in Decorah, Iowa. Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. began in 2009 and has quickly made a name for itself across the country, serving up IPAs and Stouts to over 12 states. Toppling Goliath takes pride in producing top-notch brews. The Golden Nugget is a juicy tropical and floral IPA made with Golden Promise Malt and Nugget hops.

The Can

Golden Nugget is served in a full pint can. The label is green and yellow featuring the name of the beer in the center. It's not too flashy for an IPA can.

The side of the can says:

“A winning combination of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops, this IPA delivers a bouquet of Hop, Citrus and Evergreen aromas, followed by a floral sweetness. A bold hop-forward taste captivates the senses, leaving behind a pleasant bitterness that lingers in the finish"

The Beer

Golden Nugget was a light hazy color when poured into a glass. It had a fruity aroma that mingled with a resin-like evergreen smell. At first taste, I admired the juiciness and tropical flavors that tickled the taste buds. It was an easy-drinking delicious IPA and at 6.8% alcohol content, it's a solid beer. I look forward to trying more brews from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in the future.
