Beer Review

Pompeii is an 6.2% alcohol/volume American IPA made by Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in Decorah, Iowa. Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. began in 2009 and has quickly made a name for itself across the country, serving up IPAs and Stouts to over 12 states. Toppling Goliath takes pride in producing top-notch brews. Their Pompeii is an IPA with 50 IBUs and a load of tropical hop flavors.

The Can

The Pomeii is served in a full pint can. The red label features an actively exploding Volcano (like the one that took out Pompeii). A mosaic ring frames the volcano on the can. Overall, it's a pretty awesome can for a beer named Pompeii.

The Beer

The Pompeii is a juicy, yellowish orange color when poured into a glass. At first taste it gives off hoppy notes of mango and pineapple. It smells of tropical fruit too. This is a deliciously crushable IPA at 6.2% alcohol/volume. I look forward to trying more brews from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in the future.
