Beer Trivia #22

New Belgium Tart-astic Lemon Ginger Sour beer. Is that a mouthful? Yup, a mouthful of strong citrus, honey, white wine, and ginger that they self describe as a "puckering mouthfeel with a moderate sour linger."

As New Belgium beer started growing in popularity with their fat tire brand, literally out of a basement, they decided to give their first employee ownership in the country since "it seemed like the right thing to do."

Today, the company is 100% employee owned, with employees getting vested interest in addition to a brand new cruiser bicycle after one year of employment.

The New Belgium brewing company is founded on principles of fiscal transparency and environmental stewardship and serves as an example of what a modern company can achieve, from small beginnings.

I am not a corporate affiliate, just a beer enthusiast.

Drink responsibly and steem on!
