We celebrate Labour Day on that day in Croatia. The festivities get more and more cheesy every year but we did our own thing. We have style. We went rafting on River Mrežnica. Read more about it in the next editions of @buzzbeergeek‘s posts ;)

We rented a room in a restaurant/hotel right next to the River. No sooner had we unpacked than I rushed to browse the beer menu. But, you know me that much already, right?

Pleasant surprise. Decent prices and even two famous craft variety. Crna Kraljica and Zlatni Medvjed, both by Medvegrad brewery. Click there and find out more!

There is the Black Queen prominently displayed on the label. More about her in this post. I love how they implemented local legends into a beer!

I hold a grudge against Pilseners, so we went with Schwarzbier. Sorry Czech people!

Appearance	Dark ruby red with dark velvet hues. Translucent but barely. Brownish head. Beautiful. Love the label! Quaint.
Aroma	Yeast. Dark fruit. Hints of caramel.
Taste	Moderately sweet. Slight acidity and a good level of bitterness. You don’t get tired of sipping it. I like how they did not force the alcohol. Not for the moments when you want an instant kick in the head.
Palate	Light to medium body, soft carbonation.

Overall	I would say this is your average beer. Not bad, not exceptional. Always on tap. Likeable and never lets down. You do not want to sound pretentious? Order this!
