Brewing beer - step by step, part 7: Kegging and pouring!
The fun part, the beer is ready for serving!
When the fermentation is ready it is time to either fill the beer into bottles or into a keg. I find it very tedious to clean and fill bottles so I have invested in a keg system:
To the left is four Cornelius kegs and to the right is the CO2-bottle with pressure gauges and valves. If you look closely you will see a mouse trap down there as well! I haven't caught any mice yet... The hoses for the beer runs up though the cellar roof into our winter garden where the taps are installed:
It is very convenient to just open the cupboard and pour a cellar-cold beer, it will always surprise and impress the guests!
That's an awesome set up you've got there! Nice stuff.
Thank you, I like it a lot!! ;-)
