Is having a cosmetic procedure worth it like say your lips?

I recently had lip filler done. I always had a thin upper lip and finally I gave in and got it done. They apply a numbing cream which they leave on for 10 minutes. Then here comes the needle...I felt quite a pinch. It is painful but tolerable with the numbing cream. I ended up with lots of bruising afterwards...But I have to say I love the fullness of my lips now.
