Getting Ziggy with it
This is a post, is for Beautiful Sunday hosted by @ace108, and Sublime Sunday, created and hosted by @c0ff33a, I try each week to think of something that may fit both of these challenges and when I visited Union Square earlier this week and saw a piece of art there I thought it fit well for both of these challenges

This is a piece of Art entitled Ziggy and is by artist Hou De Sousa, and I did share a phone shot of it in an Actifit post earlier in the week, but as I often do I also took some shots of it with my camera. this piece was selected as the winning entry for the sixth annual Flatiron Public Plaza Holiday Design Competition. “Ziggy” opened on November 18, 2019.
Now for me, the vibrant colors and cool shape of this make it a beautiful eye-catching art piece, but as is often case with art beauty is in the eye of the beholder so some may see this as sublime

Below is what I found online as the artists description of the piece
Ziggy celebrates the holiday season with vibrant hues and playful gestures. Located between Broadway, 5th Ave and 23rd Street, the project softly ricochets between the narrow bounds of its triangular site, effectively echoing the urban and architectural context while establishing a broad structural footprint.
And lastly, how could I not get a shot of it with the Flatiron Building as a backdrop, the people in this shot gives a sense of its size, even in the morning light the colors of this piece really pop, it really must stand out at night I would imagine

Outstanding! I love the ziggy display and the fact that it is in front of one of my favorite buildings doesn't hurt it. I did see the earlier post and was not able to comment on it. You had a spectacular shot of the flatiron building in it.
At night, it surely is breathtaking. You are so right.
I do so love your take on the city and how you view it through your eyes and lenses. I have never seen anyone cover so much in one week as you do. It is always a pleasure to peruse your posts, old or new. I find myself wandering through them, always finding something that I overlooked. You give us so much to see!

We have had some stormy days since it was installed and it still seems to be in good shape so it must be stronger than it looks

Sorry to hear that maybe my photos are to big and I should downsize them
@tattoodjay Just answered this and now it shows up again via Steemreply. I downsize each photo before I use it. Perhaps a site or app you use does it too? But I think my slow connection is the problem.❤️
I do downsize mind as well, well my camera photos but i need to downsize my iphone photos as well I keep forgetting to do that
