The streetarts of Valparaiso, Chile are just amazing.
It seems like the whole city is a huge canvas.
Las artes en las calles de Valparaiso son hermosas.
Parece que toda la ciudad es un gran lienzo.
I found about 4 drawings with kind of the same style. Beautiful.

Is there a certain reason that there seems to be such an active street art community? Would be interesting if you could tell something about it (Whether it's made by some individuals or many people participating etc.)

The colorful houses expended during the '90's when there was an Open Air Art initiative.
It was called Cielo Abierto, Open Sky and 20 renomated artists had the chance to paint houses and walls and stairs.
Since then a lot of businesses (offices, garages...) and privates painted their property as well.
And it continues...😊

Pretty nice that it's accepted as art rather than vandalism. When you give artitst the possibilty they will always create great stuff. Happy to hear that it's still growing :)
