Walking in Assisi...(Photos by @jlgc) /Caminando en Asís... (Fotos por @jlgc)
Assisi is a small city in the Umbria region, in Italy. It is the town where St. Francis of Assisi was born, founder in 1208 of the Franciscan Order or "Franciscans", and St. Clare of Assisi, founder of the Order of the Poor Sisters of St. Clare or "Clarisas". Assisi, the Basilica of St. Francis and other Franciscan sites, were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000.
It is currently a great pilgrimage center. Assisi is linked to the legend of his most famous son, St. Francis. The saint founded the Franciscan Order and shares honors with Saint Catherine as the patron saint of Italy. He is remembered by many, even non-christians, as a lover of nature, being one of the legends of his life his preaching to birds. St Francis of Assisi renounced all his material wealth to dedicate his life to help, accompany and guide all living beings, especially animals, whom he considered his younger brothers.

Feels like walking back in olden times. Place even looks bit mysterious at night.
It is a very interesting place, full of tranquility and religiosity. A little mystical at night, but that made it more beautiful. Thanks for your comment.
you're welcome
