When you're stuck at home under the weather Netflix can unearth a gem at times!

Let me introduce you to "Ultimate Beastmaster"

If there was ever a show that competitors had to use every ounce of energy left in their body this is it!

The show is set up and recorded in America but features contestants from France, Italy, China, India, Span and the USA condensed into a 60 min episode.

After watching a few episodes I realized that I had actually been watching season 2 of the show as it came up on my home screen when I logged in.

The basis of the show is that there is a obstacle course called the "beast" that is broken up into 4 levels.

Level 1 was the easiest stage, but let me tell you I would have no chance at getting trough the first jump across the balance beam!

Contestants would earn points as they made their way through the course, having the option to take a more difficult route for additional bonus points.

These points would then decide which players would go through to level 2 and so forth until there is only 2 players left from the initial 10 that will face off in a head to head battle.

Level 4 was the final stage that would award the winner of the 2 contestants $10,000 USD as the prize and they would then also move onto a grand final scenario for a chance to be crowned the seasons "Beast Master"

The background of the men and women were from all sorts of occupations, this is similar in a way to the Ninja Warrior series seen on Australian television.

To put it in perspective though, this seems to be an extreme version of this concept when it comes to the difficulty of the obstacles they need avoid and concur to succeed.

In saying this, the Australian version of the show did have great success and I applaud the effort of the individuals that were competing for the prize as they put in a ton of hard work.

The hosts of Ultimate Beastmaster were also from the various participating countries and they had some great expression and interest as the athletes moved across the course.

If your looking for something fun and entertaining to watch to the pass time, or you enjoy any form of extreme sports you will not be disappointed!

Binge watched it all on a Netflix a while back. Very entertaining and reminds me of watching old shows as a kid like Gladiators.

@aussieninja does this stuff. Give him a follow :)

Thanks Matt, will do!

Thanks Matt! UBM is super cool... I actually applied to be in the Australian team, and made it to the final stage of selection but just couldn't quite get over the line. One of my mates in Chicago is in the US Team in UBM S2... his name is Julio.. but I haven't seen any of these episodes yet (blame Steem).

Your core strength must be insane to do these courses!

It's getting there... Of course, I'm sure you've gathered that the stronger everyone gets... the harder they make the courses.... but it is extremely fun to train for and compete in. I'm nearly 40 and I'm seriously stronger and fitter than I've ever been. I wish all of this had been around when I was younger...

looks good ill see if i can find it, im not on netflix now though but i loved ninja warrior! :)

The character and stories the contestants share are top class!
