S.W.A.T. raids 136 homes each day in the U.S.--- Ex Narc teaches how to fortify your home

in #barrycooper8 years ago (edited)

During a raid, the police usually throw flash-bang stun and smoke grenades through the window to disorient the occupants. To protect yourself, apply clear or tinted film to all your windows. This will cause the cop grenade to pop back into the yard instead of into your bedroom. This really works.

More than 100 American families have their homes raided by SWAT teams every single day. There are more than 50,000 SWAT raids per year in the United States. Here are more mind blowing raid facts:

  1. In 65 percent of SWAT deployments, “a battering ram, boot, or some sort of explosive device” is used to gain forced entry to a home.

  2. In at least 36 percent of all SWAT raids, “no contraband of any kind” is found by the police.

  3. In cases where it is suspected that there is a weapon in the home, police only find a weapon 35 percent of the time.

  4. Only 7 percent of all SWAT deployments are for “hostage, barricade or active-shooter scenarios”.

Killing cops is not the answer.

PAMPF!!!!

Hahaha. Classic brotha.

How do you feel about the recent surge in cop shootings and also the controversy about all these cops caught on film with questionable and sometimes wrongful tactics leading to some people dying?

Very good information Barry. This stuff goes on everyday..all day, and it should be alarming to citizens. Keep the information rolling!

Kill one cop, and five more will rise up in their place with M-16's. Don't use violence, because that's what they want you to do.

That's exactly what I advise erroneous-logic. Did something in my post make you think different?

No, I was agreeing with you.

There are a few problems though. One, when a cop comes to take what you have in your home it is unclear if they will shoot you just to get it. Possibly they may plant a gun on you and say whatever story they want. Is your life worth that risk? Two, they should have warrants, and most of the 50,000 home invasions there are none. Three, when they do have a warrant why don't they just serve that warrant at any time other then breaking down your door. Four, they already all have M-16's so its to late. Five, police are leaving the force in mass numbers because of the meaningless death they are subjected to. But, if you have a nonviolent way to resolve the issue, than yes, do that first.

So, why does cops doing it?

Cops raid 50,000 home each year for the adrenaline rush. But the main reason is the gold, cash, cars, homes and jewelry they seize in each raid. Asset forfeiture reaches into the billions each year. The government uses the seized money and riches to buy their yachts and to continue paying the cops.

2015 civil asset forfeiture was $4.5 billion in annual forfeitures which now exceeds the $3.9 billion Americans lose in robberies each year. Cops have become the very thugs they were hired to protect people from. What do you do to thugs when they break into your house?

@barrycooper Those stats are pretty amazing. Nice to hear it from a insider. So where should I keep my drug stash?!! Hahaha.. seriously though, you should write about that next. I'm sure a ton of people would like to hear about that useful information. Especially in the #marijuana thread.

Now THIS is valuable content. Years ago I was addicted to drugs but now I am clean. Two years ago I was homeless. I blamed it all on drugs. I would have told anyone who asked that drugs should be outlawed and people who use them should be punished. Until I read High Price by Dr. Carl Hart and Chasing the Scream: The First and Last Days of the War on Drugs by Johann Hari. I learned such horrible truths and now that my eyes have been opened to what is really going on I am so pleased to see that people such as yourself have taken a stand against these bullies. I also watched a YouTube video the other day with LEAP co-founder Peter Christ and he explained that the War on Drugs is really just people trying to enforce their brand of morality on others. Addiction is a public health concern, not a criminal justice one. Thank you for your contribution and welcome to Steemit.

I just read Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom. I recommend it to all libertarians.
We need to get organized!
