Since this is a new contest, we have decided to hold this contest in rounds which will consist of two weeks. Every two weeks we will start a new round.

Because the payout of our Steemit posts is one week, participants can enter once a week as originally planned. This will give you two chances to win the top prize!

Winners of the contest will receive:
• 1st Place- 50% of SBD of original post-payout
• 2nd Place- 30% of SBD of original post-payout
• 3rd Place- 20% of SBD of original post-payout

Once seven days have passed, we will divide the SBD payout of the original post between the winners. Please allow up to two days for the transfer. We added the reminder posts to the round one prize which totaled 2.54 SBD!!!

Judges for the Bad Karaoke contest will be @snook and @simgirl. We will have guest judges in the future if this contest brings in more entries.

The entries will be scored 1-5 (30 possible points a week) on the following factors:
• Originality- Picking a song that is not sung often, or is very hard to sing.
• Performance- Hand gestures or creative puppets, and passion for song.
• Community Favorite- Amount of upvotes in the comments.

Judges’ Comments: This performance blew us away and gave us chills. The emotion in @horizontee’s voice and hand gestures pulled us into the song, which is a very difficult song to sing. You can see that he has a passion for this song. This sweet man is the epitome of Bad Karaoke. We were moved by his performance and the originality of the song selection.

Judges’ Comments: We loved the duet performance. @fishyculture, and @longsilver seem to really have fun while singing. Neither of us has ever heard the song, and the lyrics amused us along with the very touching performance. The song was sung well, and they were both just adorable.

Judges’ Comments: This song was a wonderful choice and a song we had never heard before either. The song was very upbeat and seemed hard to sing, but @psionic-tremors sung it as if she had written the lyrics herself! She totally blew us away with this amazing performance. We also loved that she included the original video along with her singing so that we could see she was singing right along with the music. This entry made it to the first place byways of votes as she and @horizonte66 were tied with the judges voting. So cool that @psionic-tremors are our first Bad Karaoke winner placing with a perfect score of 30!!! Way to go! We love it!

Judges’ Comments: @article61 put his whole heart into this performance and gave us both a hearty laugh. We loved the pencil effect of the video to begin, then the singing was great, and the accent was the cherry topping the cake. He clearly had fun while singing the song, which is what this contest is all about!

Judge’s Comments: @inthenow picked a wonderful song to sing. The performance was great as we see only his head bobbing and the purple curtains blowing in the background; adding dramatic effect. He hits the high notes and then brings it back down low for the perfect ending.

Judge’s Comments: We loved the passion @c0ff33a gives us by the end of the song. It is then that he finally lets loose and starts to belt out the lyrics. Driving while singing, and then showing the road as he travels was very original, as was the song choice. It was cool to see the scenery while he was driving. Our first traveling Bad Karaoke entry and it was very cool.

Congratulations to the winners!!! As you can see, it was a very close contest, and the total number of comment upvotes votes on all the posts for round one was the foremost factors in deciding the winner! We loved seeing everyone’s videos and, in our eyes, you are all Bad Karaoke champions!!!
