The Storm Took the Roof of my Yurt Away - Life in Mongolia!

After a nice day I wanted to cuddle in my sleeping bag. It began in the evening. It started to drizzle. It was a nice drizzle.
I could sleep deep every night. This night was slightly different than usual. Our horses became restless. Horses feel the impending bad weather. They can even feel bad weather many kilometers far away, according to my nomad host family.

I felt pretty fast asleep. I slept on the floor in a sleeping bag

In the middle of the night I felt the strong wind and saw the roof flying off. I am honest I was pretty scared and wished to be at home. I wished to be able to break up my backpacking tour. I wanted to be in my cozy bed and in my save home. But that was not the case. We have to save our yurt and ourselves. There is no escape anymore - Save yourselves!

We had to hold our yurt with ropes

Huge water canister should stabilize our roof

The result on the next day after the storm and I almost pissed in my pants
