Atari To Launch Two New Cryptocurrencies
The old gaming company Atari has announced plans to launch a new digital currency named the Atari Token.

It seems everyone's trying to get into the cryptosphere these days so why not?
I do love the name as a throwback to when game credits were called 'tokens' and my fondness for their older video games honestly gets me a little excited for no reason. I'll be paying attention if this coin does get launched and probably buy some and see what happens?

The second coin will be called Pong Token. This will be used for the payment system for online casino games. The company salvaged itself from bankruptcy by making online casino games so this one seems like a natural step and again the name is killer for this one too!
Ofcourse Pong was one of the earliest video games that alot of kids on Steemit may not have heard about, but old heads like me will remember well 😁

In my opinion what seperates these offerings from just another shit coin is that there's real brand recognition and an existing company behind them, and the fact that Atari already has a large foothold in online casino games that could give their tokens real value out the gate.
Anyone old enough to remember playing these at the arcade?..

Yeah they still make alot of games actually. They also hinted at creating a whole new console gaming system but with that being such a competitive industry idk if the old company could take on the new heavyweights now?

Donkey Kong and Galaga man. Those were my favorites! Atari has been around in so many forms it’s crazy, but they always find a way to stay relevant. Cool post man. I have a ton of game stuff I may post about in the future.
Oh heck yeah I'm interested! They've always managed to find a way to stick around. I haven't read the whitepaper but I will try to learn more and probably buy some just for nostalgia and root for em. There's alot of potential in the online video industry, especially the fact alot of people will be interested in gambling with cryptos I'd bet
