Predictive Astrology

My name is Andy de Lenoc, and I am a Scottish certified Astrologer. I studied with the Mayo School in the UK and, in the intervening 20 years, I have developed my own unique style and approach to the Astrological art. Contrary to the mainstream in Astrology, I am to a large extent a fatalist. I believe that there are events in the lives of each of us which simply cannot be avoided; many modern psychological astrologers would have it that nothing in the life is etched in tablets of stone - my 20+ years of experience in the art suggests otherwise, at least to me.
Most modern astrologers would have it that the individual has complete freedom insofar as, the impulse of the chart inclines one to choose a path in the nature of the inclination, but the will has supremacy and, by exercising the will, one can resist the impulse. My view is that, most of the time, one has to exert an enormous act of will just to attempt to circumvent the effects promised (or threatened, depending on the flavour of the contact), by even the smallest astrological pattern. Astrology is destiny, the road map of our lives, laid out for us to help prepare for the life we must lead, to accept the topography of our individual paths and to develop life strategies to cope with some of the energies and events brought into our soul-journey this time around.
For example, while modern astrology teaches that we are masters of our charts, it also teaches us that to attempt to dodge the effects of a Pluto contact is likely to work out badly for us, because Pluto will not be denied - the transformations he brings WILL happen, resist Pluto and the disruption he will bring into your life-path will be grim; he is the destroyer in this guise. Very little choice here, I would suggest.
To fully justify my fatalistic take on astrology is a major thesis on its own, but that isn’t why I am on Steemit, I am here primarily to attempt to PREDICT. Prediction for me is the primary purpose of astrology, it is how the ancients, who set out the fundamentals of astrology 4500 years ago, used it- and in their world, a bad prediction could cost you your head - pretty good incentive not to get it wrong. Astrologers predict the weather, geological events, political events, events in the stock market, events related to international affairs and also the day-to-day events in the lives of their clients. All prediction based? Still, most modern astrologers shy away from the premise that astrology is primarily a predictive art/science, focussing more on the self-development opportunities provided by the deep insight gained into the character, personality and drives of a native (native as in the subject of a nativity (Astrological Birth Chart)).
My personal view of the reluctance of most astrologers to push out the prediction boat, is simply that they rely on astrology as their primary income. This has the effect of dampening the enthusiasm for prediction for, to get it wrong, would almost certainly affect the reputation of that particular astrologer in the eyes of potential clients. I, on the other hand, am semi-retired and don’t find myself constrained by the same circumstances, so am quite happy to get it wrong and take it on the chin when I frequently do. It is the very fact that getting it wrong is an unpleasant experience for the human in general, and as a lone voice in particular, which encouraged me to Steemit. There is no greater incentive than a critical audience.....or even an audience, to work very hard to get it right.

Although I will use only astrological significators to make my predictions, this isn’t intended to be a teaching or learning resource for budding astrologers, therefore I will not usually delineate the individual astrological aspects and contacts which have led me to any particular prediction, just for the sake of brevity. It is the prediction itself which is the important thing after all.

There will be an astrological event in the Birth Chart of the United States of America in 2022 which will, in the subsequent 2-4 years, result in the break up of the US into 4 or 5 independent political ‘entities’. This won’t happen, of course, without a huge amount of turmoil in this society in the lead up to, and the completion of, the process. I will address the complex series of events which bring this about closer to the time, and in much more detail and depth. However shocking this broad brush-stroke prediction is, it will doubtless happen, astrology can help us prepare for it – but we will not avoid it.
Over the next 5 years, the world is going to change, and the change will be such that the international order as it exists now, will have become multi-polar with the demise of the US as world superpower. It is this chronology I hope to predict for any Steemians who might wish to join me on my journey.
