Sanctuary For Julian Assange from The Pope or Archbishop of Canterbury!

Why not have the Pope, or the Archbishop of Canterbury, bring Julian Assange out from the Ecuadoran Embassy under the cover of their sacred cloak, thus under sanctuary with the blessings of the church.

Being in the grasp of the Pope must also equivocate to being in the grasp of the church and Julian would be protected from earthly authorities.

The Pope could escort Julian out from the embassy under cover of his mozzetta. The pope's mozzetta, when worn, inextricably signifies the pope’s authority, a symbol of his universal sovereignty. I presume the Archbishop of Canterbury has similar sacred accouterments.

Another idea would be to unify all of the world church leaders to escort him out of the embassy -- fly lots of balloons on one string! Prove a unity of spirit among the different religions while signalling the need for each to respect the other. This, while making a worldwide declaration that free speech is especially valued and is a required essence to freedom of religion.

Mozzetta = a short elbow-length sartorial vestment, a cape that covers the shoulders and is buttoned over the frontal breast area.
