How to Search #Steemgigs Posts (with AskSteem)
What is Steemgigs
#Steemgigs and #Steemgig is a tag on Steemit that allows Steemians to request jobs, or offer services on the blockchain. These users are paid using STEEM or Steem Dollars.
Searching #Steemgigs with AskSteem
@Steemgigs is an excellent competitor to services like Fiverr, however, it currently does not have any dedicated client so searching through gigs can be difficult. Because AskSteem supports searching by tag, keyword, and author it is especially useful for finding gigs that exist on the blockchain.
Step 1: Visit AskSteem.com
Step 2: Query for posts in #Steemgigs
To find all the posts on the blockchain in the #steemgigs or #steemgig tags we can use the following query:
tags:steemgig OR tags:steemgigs
To filter the posts by a specific keyword we can modify the query like so:
keyword AND (tags:steemgig OR tags:steemgigs)
Finally, if you want to make sure the posts are recent you can add a date filter. The following query will filter to posts that were created in June 2017, however, you can change the month by simply modifying the dates in the query.
keyword AND (tags:steemgig OR tags:steemgigs) AND created:[2017-06-01 TO 2017-06-30]
If we run this query in AskSteem we get some results for steemgigs about keyword research:

Well I've left a number of comments on his post, but I don't think he's replied to any mentioning user explorer.
Send him a message on steemchat, I don't imagine anyone is going to code and host an alternative before he sees it :) He's a busy guy! Probably trying to find a couple of babysitters so he can get back to work :P

Fantastic way to support those within the community. Obviously there are a ton of talented individuals here with specific talents and abilities. Why not look to promote from within and take care of our own? As a bonus, I understand that the person who completes the task is rewarded without having to "pay a cut of the proceeds to the house."
I'm going to have to start utilizing this for my #steemgigs collections posts... Thanks for the info!
