Be the last to speak
Being the last to speak it might be easier to understand what people really mean. For sure you will become a better listener if you're the last one to speak in a meeting, having sampled all the other opinions that came up before.
Waiting for the right moment to say something is a great skill and it takes a lot of listening to get there.
I only can hope that it's the right moment for publishing this piece of motion-art...

Meistens ist aber schon von vorn herein fest gelegt, wer schliesslich das letzte Wort hat. Wenn man sich da rein drängelt kommt man meistens mit den Obermackern gewaltig in clinch. Ist jedenfalls meine Erfahrung zu dem Thema.
Mostly, however, it is already decided from the beginning who finally has the last word.
If you push yourself into it, you will usually get into clinch with the super-tasteers.
This is my experience on the subject.
