Drawing or painting facial photos other than as a hobby can also be useful for the development of visual skills in drawing a realist object, such as a human object or other three-dimensional object in a two-dimensional field.

There are two kinds of drawing facial photos; the first is to move the face in the photo to the image plane as closely as possible and the second move the face in the photo to the image area just by taking the essence of the face to be drawn. In the first case requires a careful visual skills and basic knowledge about the anatomy of human face.
