Ladies & Gentlemen!
My smudged papers are back in control and I love how crisp and contrasting everything looks here. Sooo much better than pencil sketches. I immediately sat to do the left page after I posted the process of the right one in my previous post. I am more interested in sketching characters of elder people because I think it captures a lot of of my attention, which I have also mentioned in the past.
If I had my grandparents around I would definitely have done it by now hahah. Adding little backgrounds in such compositions are a great way to create visually attractive artworks. In my opinion the left page could have used a little more space to breathe, especially with the hair. Lines could have made them more fun as I see too much ink at one place. But hey, that’s how you learn :) There are hardly 10-12 pages left in this fat book of mine and I don’t know it makes me happy and a little bummed out. Weird?
Smudging looks great too but I think it takes more time to be completed than shading. From your works I think you combined both.
No I meant my papers were all smudged up because of the pencils. Thats why I inked them up :)
