Greeting Steemit Friends! Here’s my entry for today’s “ARTSTORM CONTEST #40 DAY 5 - THEME : FUN ON FRIDAY.”
Well my Friday night partying days are over, it probably comes with age. If your blessed to be able to live to be about sixty years of age, happily married, and slowing down a bit, partying is not missed. My Idea of a fantastic Friday night happens a couple times a month to my husband and I, when a couple of our dearest, closest, oldest friends, who are a married couple our age, invite us over for a Friday night dinner. Our female friend is a fabulous cook and her husband is two. They always barbecue outdoors, even when there’s snow on the ground. Each time they barbecue, it’s Something incredible, tasty, and different. In the summer time they will barbecue along with there choice of meat, corn on the cob, or a large sweet potatoes from ther garden. The wife will usually also make fresh sun tea to drink with our meal. If the weathers fine, will sit outside on there backyard deck to eat. The wife also is a wonderful landscaper, and because of this, they have a gorgeous back and front yard lush with many varieties of flowers, beautiful plants, and garden vegetables. Amongst it all is a lovely white fountain, that looks like a three tear bird bath. There are bird houses here and there, with live birds always in them, which are standing tall along side a fence. Minnie solar lights are connected around the deck for visibility at night. It’s very beautiful, and very calming, as you sit on outdoor furniture, and listen to the lovely birds chirping and the sound of a babbling fountain near by. The four of us will slowly eat, and have great conversations, my husband and I usually will bring the dessert, warm pie, and vanilla ice cream. As the evening turns to dark outdoors, will retire into the front room to watch a Friday night movie with are amazing friends. Now that’s what I call having “FUN ON FRIDAY.”
