All intelligence at all levels is about predicting the future to a great extent. People are very determinative of the future. That's all we do. What is happening in the world and those who adapt to them are being taught or being taught regularity.

But I suspect that you mean that AI will be so advanced, or that you can accurately predict future events in a way that makes people feel carefree. My answer is, yes, possible and even possible. To predict the future behavior of a complex system, you need to understand it in depth. This is the superiority of intelligence.

AI needs to improve a lot to reach superhuman levels, but it depends on computing power, memory and bandwidth. The price of these three falls exponentially over the past century and there have already been a few paradigm shifts. I don't think that integrated circuits engraved on a silicon disk will be the latest and most powerful computing substrate to be invented. There are several possibilities to serve as stronger substrates such as optical circuits, graphene transistors, or biological circuits. One should not forget the quantum calculation as a way to solve complex problems extremely quickly and efficiently. I think we will see mind-boggling advances in AI in the coming years.
