An Open appeal to Ned to bring Steemfest to Africa

Steemfest is unavoidably happening in far away Europe, Lisbon to be precise, and it may interest you that Africa as a continent will be sparsely represented in steemit's biggest gathering globally
As much as Europe remains mainstream razmataz for the steemit blockchain, Africa, with all its potentials have not been fully maximized, in terms of potentials and purpose. even with expensive rate of internet in places like Nigeria and south Africa, the Capitalized system of the service provider's exploitation, not even the poverty rate was considered a hinderance to African who are already making waves here.
With of course this initiative, i envisage a steem gathering where African countries can have a twin version of STEEMFEST.
Africa of course is a fertile ground and this has been proven.
Of course and boast of countries with high entreprenurship skills without even the knowledge of the existence of steemit.

Bitcoin hit its highest figure just yesterday and this was not just a fluke, nearly 50% of the world population knows about this coin, and a whole lot of people buy and sell, also trade with it. This of course wasn't achieved without a massive influx and awareness at the grass root level.
Steem is not less of a coin, a whole lot of measures can be implemented in making steem a force to reckon with.
Investor are lacking, and devaluation is happening. Steem Africa may not be accepted by many, but first, see the potentials of what could be:

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES.

To bring steemit education to mainstream Africa.
To re-orientate the young and talented whose skills are unpolished and raw.
To expand and add value to the steem crypto currency in the nooks and crannies of this world
To bring entrepreneurship down to internet level to the average African.
To convince African investors to contribute at least 10% investment to the steem currency.
To create awareness of the reality of the massive take over of crypto currencies over a normal legal tender.

REASONS FOR MY INTITATIVE OF STEEM-AFRICA.

Nigeria boost the highest number of steemit users in Africa, due to conference held and awareness created, this year alone Steem-lagos happened, today was the grand meet-up at Ibadan Nigeria, and more users are brought to the limelight. Of course steemit has been well represented in Nigeria, as users like @fisteganous, @ejemai @oluwoleolaide, crypto bloggers like @ogochukwu, @bania enthusiasts as @gbenga and @greenrun and a whole lot of others

South Africa is second in recognition with Adsactly's writer @princessmewmew and some others too.
However Africa has not been totally reached, and that's where Steem-Africa would come in. Places like Egypt, Equitorial guinea boasts of high growing GDP and when the countries experience a conquest, the STEEM-AFRICA can gradually enter the tactile lands of Africa and spread into even minature countries like Ghana, Togo and a host of many others.

CAN STEEM-AFRICA EVER BE ACTUALISED?

Yes it can! However the probabilities are slim, @Ned has reached a lot of countries in mainstream Europe and Asia, and Africa may have been forgotten, however speaking at steemfest yesterday, he was quick to point out how far Steemit has gone in just a short time. And i applaud him, he's done well. Look at the massive shut down in China, U.S, whole are the most represented countries and of course picture how massive it will be when Africa comes into the mix
However i can't actualise Steem-Africa, its a notion, an initiative that exists in the comfort zone of my head only and to actualise it will be herculean

As it's known a whole lot of money will be needed.

MY PLANS FOR POTENTIAL FUNDING?

@Ned of course comes to mind, being a developing continent, the few numbers of Africans here will do well to contribute their quota, however they cannot achieve this, its a multi-million dollar project that will yield dividends in the long run.

However Africa has the best minds to actualise this.

MY MESSAGE TO @NED.

Steem-Africa is an initiative i fostered with my friend @rufans, we both feel that Africa is under represented in steemit. Bringing Steemit to Africa will bring value to steem as a currency, with of course investment in the currency, however Africa can be cooed when its totally STEEMIT AWARE.

This may bring a little devaluation in the money being circulated on steemit in the short run. But on the long run, implementations can bring global prosperity to steemit.
(i can't reach @Ned alone, please resteem to reach Ned, so my agenda of STEEM-AFRICA may become a reality.)

Its your humble boy Josediccus promoting the African mindset

Sort:

Having taken the pain to write this, it has moved from the comfort of your head to be steemed up to reality.

Count me in, Africa must not be left behind in this revolution.

The sociological underpining of steemit is well grounded in my native Igbo cosmology of the indigenous Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria.

Yes Osita, you are right, actually Africa seems lagged behind, and this project of bringing a version of steemfest to Africa will do a whole lot of good.

Thanks for the mention here. Keep up the good job.

Yeah bro, it would be a dream come through for this project to work in Africa

Hi @josediccus

Thank you well well, you do well

Hey @josediccus, this is really a welcome development. Its rare to see young men like you thinking deeply these days. Africa deserves a shot at SteemFest3. At least all those dev big names will like to visit somewhere new for a change. Just tweek the title a little to reflect it...eg LETTER TO @NED: STEEMFEST3 SHOULD BE IN AFRICA

Hi @nairadaddy, the fuss about steemfest was much and currently ongoing i realised that Africa with all its glory deserves a stewmfest of its kind which i called Steem Africa, we need it here really, and i hope my appeal can get to @ned

Thank you for the support sir, @josediccus here

Thanks For Your Good Information I Like It.

This is a big move bro, it's definitely possible and will benefit the whole continent more.

But I think the appeal needs to be directed @roelandp and not @ned directly because steemfest is the brainchild of @roelandp and he has been in charge 80% of the program preparation and operation in collaboration with steemit inc.

I don't know how they choose the country to host steemfest but they might be making that decision immediately after this second edition ends.

I have resteemed bro and let's hope things work out, it will be great to host steemfest generally here in Africa.

Well probably so @bania well im quite sure that the steemit board is taking close coignisance, Africa is a fertile ground and should be explored, the possibilities lies in the land

Anyhow it is, somebody at the top needs to put this into consideration.

Thank you buddy for your immense support.
