This line had been stuck in my heart since the first day that I saw this film, Forrest Gump. Life is full of surprises, Mrs. Forrest is right.

This film shined among the others cause it has a different way of telling stories. And the audiences felt every emotions that the story is trying to tell. This movie is filled of joy, romance, history, action and drama. I can't believe that this film is just as old as I am. Haha. But it is still one of the movies that will not be erased on our list. I watch this movie every once in a while and I still enjoy it everytime. I still laugh and cry while watching this remarkable film.

Forrest may not be that smart but he had accomplished a lot. I don't think that there is something that he cannot do. He has been apart of the most memorable history and has met iconic personalities and he doesn't even know it. He taught Elvis how to dance, played in the national football team, survived the Vietnam War, became a Ping-Pong champion player, became captain of a shrimp boat and became CEO of a multi million company. But he still lives a normal life and doesn't even acknowledge it.

Plot

The stories starts with the narration of the main protagonist, Forrest, Forrest Gump. He was sitting on a bench, waiting for his bus to arrive. And then he began telling his life stories to every people that sat beside him.

He was born different than the other kids and with a very bad back. Then braced made it hard for him to walk. He met a girl named, Jenny and soon became bestfriends with her.
And then Forrest played for a College Football Team after he managed to run without his leg braces while Jenny was enrolled in an all girls college and that made them drift apart slowly but Forrest still manage to make time for her.

Then after college Forrest served the army and fought the Vietnam War. There he met his bestfriend Bubba who's family cooks shrimp for decades. He also met Lieutenant Dan. He survived the war along with the other soldiers he saved and also Ltn. Dan who has lost his legs. And unfortunately Bubba didn't made it alive.

After the war, Forrest played Ping-pong and became a superstar. He was a champion all around the world. Then the money that he had earned from his endorsement and from the army was used to bought himself a shrimp boat just like what he promised to Bubba. Ltn. Dan, who has lost hope in God joined in with him with his boating adventure.

Soon they became millionaires because of the shrimp business. And then one day, he received a letter saying that his Mama was ill. So he immediately went home where he properly said goodbye to his Mama.

And then Jenny went back to him. Forrest asked Jenny to marry him but Jenny didn't want to. That night Jenny confessed to Forrest that she loves him too and that night they made love. Jenny went away early in the morning.

Forrest began to run and run for no reason. And then soon he began to gain some followers who runs with him and then one day he just stop and went home.

One day he recieved a letter from Jenny, inviting him to see her.

Forrest went to see Jenny, and found out that he has a son name Forrest Gump Jr. But unfortunately Jenny is sick. They went home together to Alabama where they got married but Jenny died after.

You died on a Saturday mornin'. And I had you placed here under our elm tree. And I had that house of your father's bulldozed to the ground. Momma always said dyin' was a part of life. I sure wish it wasn't. Little Forrest, he's doin' just fine. About to start school again soon. I make his breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. I make sure he combs his hair and brushes his teeth every day. Teachin' him how to play Ping-Pong. He's really good. We fish a lot. And every night, we read a book. He's so smart, Jenny. You'd be so proud of him. I am. He, uh, wrote a letter, and he says I can't read it. I'm not supposed to, so I'll leave it here for you. Jenny, I don't know if Momma was right or if, if it's Lieutenant Dan. - Forrest

Process

He's another one of my favorite movie character form my favorite movie. Like my most recent post, I made a fan art of this movie.

I drew the lines first.

Then I laid down the flat colors.

Then the darkest shadows.

And then, a lighter shadow.

And then I colored the detail of his eyes and lips.

And then the details of his shirt.

And lastly, some highlights and finishing details and it is done.
