MY NEW DP | Limited Color Palette Challenge

Hi guys. So, as I've mentioned on my earlier posts, it's been a hell of a busy week for me but I still make sure to give my steemit life some time. It takes my mind away of my personal problems. And for today's post, I decided to make a digital potrrait of myself. I wanted to change my DP here on steemit. Why? Most of the people that I interact with here on steemit thinks I'm a guy. Haha, I don't know why? Is my DP too manly? Is it my name? Is Trishy a name for guys. Hahaha. So I made a digital portrait of myself. Cause that people can get and idea on what I do on my steemit account just by seeing my DP. This is actually kinda of a first time for me making a portrait of myself. I don't know why but it is more fun for me making other people a digital art.

On this digital art, I decided to use a limited color palette only as a way of a challenge for me to be more creative.

This is the reference photo that I used. I uploaded this of facebook a while back.

I drew the outlines first using the darkest tone on my color palette which is the one encircled below.

Then I colored the skin tone with the lightest color which is the one encircled below.

Then I colored the hair with the second to the darkest color.

I colored my shirt with the color encircled below.

Then I added some shadows. Then I added a layer mask and used a brush tool to smoothen the colors.

Next, I added a darker shadow. I wanted to make it simple so I just added some few layers to this plus I'm only using a limited color palette so adding multiple layers of color would be somehow impossible since I want to stick with this rule.

Next, are the colors of the lips.

Then I colored the hair's shadow using the darkest color on my color palette which is the one encircled below and it is also the color that I used for the outline.

And then, I colored the eyes and and I also added some highlights.

And then I added a background and it is done. I have a new DP.

So it is done, I hope no one will ever get mistaken me for a guy. There nothing wrong with that,really. It just really funny people asking if I'm a girl or a boy. It makes me laugh everytime. That is it for this post, until next time. MARAMING SALAMAT PO!
