Today I present my work made to black pen and wood colors for this prestigious contest ART EXPLOSION WEEK 43: Theme MYTHOLOGY, Organized by @juliakponsford, and a guest judge: @vachemorte and the new sponsor @curie!.

Mermaid and Marine Monster

Belong to the Greek mythology the mermaids are described as beautiful and lethal beings that were in the sea and the sea monsters capable of destroying boats to them I wanted to dedicate my illustration.

Drawing Process

First step

Make the sketch

Second step

Make edges, details and shadows with black siren pen

Third step

I started coloring the boat with brown, light gray, dark gray and black and blur the edges to give the appearance of being sunk in the sea.

Fourth step

Here we can observe that color the sea monster with green, dark brown, and black and use the same process of blurring the edges with black

Five step

I gave the skull color tonality and painted the scales in violet and turquoise green; for the face of the mermaid use for shadow color lilac and skin color for the scales violet, blue, turquoise, green as for the fins the end of the tail

six step

Sharpen my colors of wood (indigo, violet, pure blue, turquoise and black) and so I gave color with this technique to the sea
