Is the reality shattering? / Gazing into the abyss... (entry for the artexplosion contest)
Hi :)
Here is my entry for the current artexplosion contest hosted by @juliakponsford. The theme is "self".
Is the reality shattering? / Gazing into the abyss...
Though I had an idea of a possible background story, I won't tell anything about it :P It's up to you. Giving the picture a title was already more than I planned first, but i felt that it should have one (or two at the same time ^^ )
I was also thinking about giving hte picture a title like "Honey, the mirrors cracked again... Am I really this ugly?" :P
The creation process:
- step: some sketchy lines to outline the idea itself
- step: clean lines
- step: moar lines! :D
- step: some shadows and highlights
- step: the abyss gazing back + citation
The entry is drawn and painted digitally using a graphic tablet.
Looks like the character is gazing at his own reflection and then it shatters and EYES came out :O!!!!!
