This story began one clear summer morning. Moomintroll was walking after breakfast and met his friend Sniff

Friends strolled through the neighborhood. It is unclear who first came up with an idea to go on a great journey to the edge of the forest

It was probably Moomin, because Sniff was still hesitant to go that far without an adult's permission. But with his friend's reassurance, he finally agreed to go. He remembered the stories Moominpappa was telling about things far beyond the forest and about something incredibly beautiful that no words can describe, but one must see it with his own eyes.

"Jump on Sniff !"

The path through the forest was difficult, but the friends walked on, not paying attention to the obstacles and difficulties.

Only once, in the middle of the road, they decided to make a short stop. They were sitting under a pine tree. Sniff and Moomin argued about wonders awaiting them beyond the forest. What could it be? Could it be right behind this beautiful pine tree? Could it be freshly baked Moominmamma's muffin?

They even wanted to climb to the top of the pine tree to see it sooner. It was getting late and they had to hurry.

And then the forest suddenly thinned, and right ahead they saw the sea and the sun diving into the sea. It was so unimaginably beautiful that friends just stand there holding their breath and watched sunset for the first time. Now isn't it wonderful?
