The Monster in the Reeds Near the City of Emerald

A monster waits in the murky, poluted waters near the refined city of Emerald. The city poors out all its pollution and muck without a thought to it's effect on the world outside; they had long since given up. Only the underground trains can get you inside. A chimera on a hoverscooter patrols the borders, shooting at anyone or anything that dares come close.

I started by basically playing with the acrylics, producing shapes and forms until an image came to my mind

Then I added detail and color; and a story emerges.
