Art - Thanos! Doom of the Avengers (showing process on how I did the drawing in digital, step by step guide)

Hello People!! Today I drew Thanos, main villain from the upcoming Avengers - Infinity War movie. He has a long comic book history in marvel and definitely is one of the smartest, toughest, most evil villains in comic book history.

I will show you step by step guide with explanation on how I did the illustration. It is done digitally with a cheap drawing pad I tend to use, since I like the small working surface for illustrating. Final piece of the art will be shown in the final step.

First I made a rough sketch here...

In the next phase I cleaned it up a bit, erased all the lines I do not need.

Here I did some drawing, trying to get the character to look how I imagined it. The lines are stronger, more efficient and there was a lot of space for the details to be added. Before adding color I like to spend a little time changing the character a bit, especially if I work on something that is not my original design.

In the final step I added shadows and lights, a bit of details again, worked with textures for skin and the glove and spiced it up with a little bit of effects.

It took me 2 hours to complete this, with the help of some smooth jazz in background. I hope you find this constructive and functional.
