Hi I use this converter to translate into unicode: http://qaz.wtf/u/convert.cgi?

Dear Artzonian, thanks for using the #ArtzOne hashtag. Your work is valuable to the @ArtzOne community. Quote of the week: Art, freedom and creativity will change society faster than politics. -Victor Pinchuk

Thank you! You were one of the first to continuously support me, many thanks!

I really enjoy your work, but when you self vote with a voting bot it makes me not interested, but maybe that's my bias, i'm kinda a grass roots guy. Also as a curator it gives me no financial incentive ( if you self vote immediately and give no time for organic votes), and i'd rather save my vote for something that does. Just thought i'd let you know.

That's fair enough man, but a guy's gotta hustle. I do plan on moving on to the 25+ min ones in the future. Personally I have given up entirely on trying to make money from curating and just upvote the stuff I like regardless of the time passed. SteemAuto makes stuff like that easier of course but I also venture out looking at cool stuff myself.

The curation system to me is straight up broken, it doesn't work, and the grassroots frankly doesn't exist on this site. I try to bring more people to the platform from time to time though.

You're right. I think the curation system is broken, but the curation system will get more interesting with time. At the very least we will have more custom filters allowing for second tier moderation.

I upvote what I like, I just feel my vote is more efficient somewhere else in this sort of circumstance.

Just to be clear I don't think that the way you are using the platform is wrong, I just wanted to make clear that setup like that it makes it much less likely that I can't vote for you.

I do like this render, I'll upvote it anyway and reblog, thanks for responding honestly.

Hi no problem! I understand what you're saying, and I kind of have high hopes for the new Hivemind and Communities features to help some of that. So that way people can set up their own groups with their own curator or even a bot with specific rules or perhaps a voting list or something that people can delegate to that rewards good content. That could be the best of both worlds (i.e. completely unguided users only acting on their own and more automated bot type voting). I mean obviously again at the mercy of people not to actively exploit, but really people are gonna try to exploit everything no matter what. All of that would be greatly helped by more people joining the platform and behaving genuinely, rather than like 20 fake bot spam accounts for every one real user as it is now haha.

So the group thing I can imagine kind of like what @artzone does now, but helped by better tools from Steemit or even Busy or something like that. So now artzone treats the tag like it's a "subreddit" of sort, rather than a general category of post (i.e. if you go to the artzone tag you'll see the artzone artists with their stuff in different categories, but if you stay in just #art maybe it's too general for you etc.). And I would rather like things to go in that direction more so than the total mess you always end up with when you go with tags instead. Same reason I don't like Instagram, because everyone will use 10 different tags in every post and you end up with every place on there looking like every other because of it, know what I mean? More and different options to connect would really help. So far there's only browsing by tag (you really should be able to "subscribe" to tags from the start, like you're curating your own overall feed rather than looking at them one by one or by trending or whatever) and following users. Would be cool to see something like group tag view or group user view and the like.

I personally would rather like to see a good shop layer expansion as well where I can put my stuff on sale on the blockchain, that would be neat! I do have a shop online, I'll post about that soon. I'm really bad at doing anything with websites, otherwise I might have set up bitcoin payment already, and added Steem as well. But obviously it's far neater when it's native on this platform, right? IMO Steemit could rival the likes of Shopify if there was a "make your own online shop" layer on here, kind of like a secondary blog of sorts where you can display your goods. And I think it could be done, if you look at Bigcartel for instance its free version basically looks like a typical Steemit profile already, just make the blog posts in a grid rather than a list and there's your shop! I know there's Peerhub and I'll try that out, but not sure if anyone actually uses that anymore?

Before we started our discussion I was writing up a discussion post about these very topics. I just made the post, check it out here: https://steemit.com/artnode/@solar/hey-artists-of-all-kinds-i-m-up-voting-for-good-answers-this-is-a-discussion-about-steem-as-an-artist-platform

I would love to have you chime in and post some more of your thoughts on the matter.

Hey man! Sure thing! I was just out all day lol will have a look soon!
