Cosmic Maw: Stippled pen drawing step by step
A being of unfathomable age who's size extends through many dimensions. The Cosmic Maw is the gateway and the gatekeeper to the realm of the Ritual Masters.
This piece began with a pencil drawing, drawing dripping faces with eyes and mouths all over the place is always a fun way to start.
I used a mixture of Micron and Faber-Castell pens to ink. First doing the outlines. Including all of the stars in the mouth and eyes.
Next up was filling in the blacks and starting to rough in the stippled areas. Usually I hold off on filling in the blacks until last but decided to save the stippling for last instead.
Then came the dots. So many dots. This part is always somewhat meditative, just get lost in the dots.

This excellent, some time ago I made an order in pointillism of the mask of V of Vendetta with a sentence below, and I know how "tedious" it can be. The effect is great, very cool but when you have to do a job like this and great, because you think the amount of points you will have haha have to have a lot of patience, you know you will last a good time. I've been watching your art and I like it a lot, I'll be following your content closely I'm also an artist and I'm new to steemit, I hope you have the time to spend on my blog too. PS: what did you think when you made your monster's nose? I feel that it looks like something specific but I'm sorry to tell you hahah
Thanks for the feedback! It's certainly not a style I have the patience to do all of the time but I like to revisit it every so often.
I will check out your page! I primarily came to this platform as a way to use my art to build influence to then promote and help other artists. I would love some recommendations if there is anyone you think I should follow.
As for the nose! It's I think an unplanned thing that happens somewhat often when doing certain fleshy but symmetrical shapes. Not the first time I've heard that about this piece and a few others and it's unintentional but everything is up to interpretation.
