Lunar New Year Macarons!
Four years ago, a client had placed 2 orders of macarons, one of which was for lunar new year and was happy with any decoration of my choice. This was very exciting because I enjoyed designing.
Here is a picture of the sketch ideas for the edible decoration.
With 3 flavours ordered for the lunar new year theme, I handmade 3 different decorations for each flavour.

The flavours were salted caramel, lemon and matcha green tea
I was really hoping that the red ones were cherry blossom. I might just fly across the world for cherry blossom macarons. 😉
Cherry blossom flavour? That's interesting, wonder what that tastes like. Never heard of that flavour before.
It’s very big in Japan. My husband travels there several times a year and has brought me cherry blossom tea as well as flavored candies. I’ve been searching for cherry blossom essential oil for years, as has he, to no avail. This surprises me because it’s easy to find oils from so many other blossoms. Both edible and aromatic.
Hopefully this year I will head to Japan and I will be sure to look out for cherry blossom tea and sweets to see what they taste like. I am intrigued.

Thanks @nikv, yes I have stopped completely since Oct 2015. I still have people ask me from time to time to place an order but the answer had always been no, no matter who it was because it would not be fair.
Yes, I can imagine that the amount of time and effort that goes into creating these is far greater than what people are prepared to pay for them :(
