The Brief
I am tasked with creating a banner for @beyondtheveil.
The theme is tarot cards.
So I am designing my own tarot cards.
The Fool
Drawing
The drawing style is very rough and simple, to give it a mysterious and somewhat rushed feel.
Steps to Colouring
First the base colours are painted.
Some slight highlighting
Slight shadowing.
Fine tuning.
Texturing.
The Text
Final

What software do you use for designing these? Is it all digital start to finish. Really good, looking forward to seeing what else you produce.

everything is digital except for the initial drawing which is ink, although i did outline it in illustrator. im a design elitist so i only use real software. the colouring is done with corel painter. and i use a wacom tablet. i also dont erase anything and keep it as rough as possible, so it's technically very similar to traditional art. i could do this with real paint on canvas, if i had the supplies. lol.

My favorite card has been the magician. Although I have been finding some love for the abundance represented by the Ten of Disks.
The magician is coming. Also the high-priestess, the world, the moon and the hanged man. Stay tuned!
