Close up pencil panel

in #art8 years ago

Wanted to show some of the close up detail on a pencil panel. I sometimes miss traditional pencil work but I find its typically too slow in todays commercial art world, for me at least. Sure was fun though and makes me want to ink it.

The detail you put into your work continues to amaze me. I agree about traditional art being more slow paced than digital; I don't think I'd be able to keep up with my work if I was still doing things traditionally.

Dope perspective in this shot.... all your pencils would so legit inked hahaha

There is something very rich and alluring about natural art, but at least for comics, there's too much upside in terms of speed to justify it for me. Very nice alien/demon assassin you made.

Pencil sketch is my go to... I wouldn't even know where to start with a digital drawing. Maybe I should bring out the pencils and come up with a Doge drawing as a followup to the last one. Lol! Once every 4 years keeps a persons skills up right...?

Lol every 4 years is perfect :)

Looks good. Are you working on a comic or was it just for fun?

Its part of a page I did for samples when getting work.

Oh hell yeah, that looks amazing. What is that character by the way?

Its a character named Killjoy from Cyberforce. Pretty obscure.
