The Piano Player - original handmade sculpture by @sofi-m
Happy Saturday Steemians!
Following up to my collection of musicians I would like to share one of Pianists.
This Piano Player is different from my other sculptures because it is essentially a mixed media artwork;
I have used different colors of natural clay, but I have also used acrylics to paint over certain parts of the sculpture after I had baked it in 1200 degrees.
Below you'll see more photos, a couple of them from an exhibition I held with my daughter @mariandavp (I presented my sculptures she showed her paintings) a couple of years in an old olive press building. Very rare and difficult exhibition to set up but got some wonderful memories!

The pianist's face is exquisite and I can't help but wonder if it was inspired by a person you have met who played piano... ...Or not? I'm glad that you and @mariandavp are working together and have had an opportunity to share the results of some of your work at an exhibition. Good for you, good for us.

Thank you very much Eric! Indeed it is inspired by someone I know but it is not a direct portrait like my other portraits. Most of the times we exhibit together with Marianda, hopefully we' ll manage to do another exhibition in 2017. You will be invited of course! Namaste :)
