Lavender Tea - In Progress - Orginal Art By Red Dust
The tea set is sitting on a mirror and while working on the reflection I've felt nauseas, yeah I wanna barf! This painting is really screwing with my equilibrium and I keep asking myself, "Why do. I do this to myself?" I know why, cause I am friggen crazy!
I want to quit, this paintingis beyond my novice abilities....But I wanna see what this looks like when it's done even more than the discomfort and doubt that's bothering me. I should finish up by tomorrow.

I can see what you are talking about with the reflective part causing nausia. I have felt the same way about some posts of mine. There is a ton of hesitation but once I get going the feeling resides and the focus becomes the end result.
Some pieces just don't come out easy, it's a battle of wills! I'm gonna win this one💪🏻
Now I'm going to sleep, if I don't go to bed at the same time every night I still wake up early and I get loopy as hell working on art with no sleep!!!
Same, my daughter will get me up at 8am sharp regardless.

You can see it in the word "pain" ting....lololol
It's like trying to do something that you've never done before, there are so many layers and levels in this piece, I have to stay organized or I end up getting lost in a fold of cloth or some shadow, each piece of this series has been a pain!
I much prefer pen and ink drawings, very easy!

Don't be hard on yourself. When I get to the point where I feel like a novice, I stop for a while, paint a different painting and the go back to it. You'll look at it in a different perspective.

Your painting is awesome! I love the mirror effect. Try taking anti nausea medication?
I figure if I keep plugging away my mind will get used to seeing like a mirror, it's kind of freaky, I mean I can go deep sea fishing and eat while everyone else is puking!
