A friend of mine performs with other lawyers every year in an annual fundraiser for women in the arts. This is a cause that touches me personally on many levels, so I'm only too happy to participate. Also, I get to see the show and give cards out to wealthy folk. THIS year... I'm going to take cards as much as give them. Fun trick, in an entrepreneurial position - if you leave the onus on other people to contact you, it's very very unlikely that they ever will. Take cards - take initiative. The worst anyone can respond with is No, or no response.

This was a convenient post for today, since I didn't have time to paint yesterday. I think I will tonight. Alllllll night. I have four small pieces that have been commissioned by a friend to get done. And tomorrow is going to be another too-busy-to-paint day. Mikey and I both will be volunteering some time helping build set pieces for another theatre company called DramaWay, for actors with intellectual disabilities. We went to see their performance last year on Pottery Road in the gallery/theatre (name escaping me right now). It was a really lovely show, rich with happy warm feelings.

We do try to be charitable when we have the time and ability. Life has been good to us. It's been challenging, and takes a lot of work to keep up with, but we have a roof over our heads, we eat every day, and we do what we love. Hard to complain about that.
