colour version (imo) lacks details, it is too soupy / blurry / soft
hmmm... thats why you name it 'semi-realistic' ?..
That tells me that I need to colour the shading darker and the light lighter and more texture.
You spotted it right. I’m afraid of using colour and I tend to smooth the colour too much.
