Andrea of Tremulon

Andrea dashed across the grassy fields of Tremulon, feeling the winds speed past her, urging her on to adventure. For that was all anyone knew of in this world. Excitement, wonder, adventure. It called to them, like an addiction, a passion, they needed it.

Or that's what Andrea thought, anyway. It's the way she was raised to think, and it was the way that she would always encourage others to think.

She took to the woods, climbing up the mountainside with nary a beaten path to follow. She needed no path, she had a beacon, a compass in her heart that she followed, without questioning where it was taking her.

It sent her higher up the mountain, circling around ledges and exploring the occasional cave. She loved moments like this the best, where her compass would lead her to such interesting locations - she had found a few mine carts and glimmering rocks in the caves, and beautiful flowers and amazingly strange fungi littered among the trees. But the most awe-inspiring sight was at the top of the mountain.

It took some time, though it barely felt it. Andrea pulled herself higher up upon a spire at the top of the rocks. As she pulled her head over its reach, she gazed out onto the horizon, soaking in the magnificent colors of the sunset.

Just a quick little drabble thing cuz I needed a little escapism. (The picture was also something that was just slapped together lol. It's not that great, but I guess the colors are kinda pretty? x'P)

[In other news, I'm actually going to be "verifying" soon, I guess... If I'm understanding properly what I'm supposed to do for that. I just gotta post something on here, and talk about it on another site, right?]

Fun facts: Tremulon was a random gibberish word I made up to be the name for the place in the story... but I Googled it, and found out that it's actually the name of a song  based on the word "tremulous", which is also a videogame, and the word itself means some rather cowardly things... which is funny considering this is supposed to basically be ADVENTURE PLANET lol!
