Global networks are not civilizations - The next steps, Part 2

in #art7 years ago

Where is this western/world civilization going in the next decades? There are a lot of variables, of course, and a lot of theories about it. In fact, there are a lot of different social environments, distinct the one from the others, even if many aspects of each of those social environments work in global networks. Global networks are not societies. They are not civilizations, even if they play a role in our civilizations.

So, we can try to foresee how global networks are going to develope, and how each single civilization (*) is going to change. But it's senseless to try to foresee the future of the western/global world, unless you want to overvalue the chances of each great world crisis possible. Ugh!

(*) I'm not going to talk about what a current civilization is, now; let's just say it is not a country or a State

By the way, I'm not a sociologist. So I usually let my artworks speak about these subjects. Below, 3 of them. ;)

Here is my first post about it: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@paolobeneforti/the-next-steps-of-our-civilization-in-the-cryptoeconomy-part-1

Envisioning the future now is much harder than me than before. There are so many changes, futuristic is now. I am currently
considering writing down dreams that I want to create for the entertainment of future cyborgs.

a good idea. imagining a future is probably more useful than trying to foresee it ;)
