Critters I Drew: Cute & Cuddly or Creepy?
My favorite drawing of the day. What could be cuter than a fat little smiley bat?
I've been feeling artsy lately, so I got myself a sketch pad and some pens. If I keep doing this though, I'm going to need more erasers or a lighter touch with the pencil.
This was the first in series, from yesterday and the day before. I'm mostly happy with the bat, but I think the feathers on the owl are a little overdone. Looks too windblown...
I really like this bat, but tell me the truth - does this owl look like a chicken or an owl?
How about this one - regular bird or obviously an owl?
Definitely an owl, but a little on the anxious side. Perfect mascot for me!
I meant to try my hand at jellyfish, but I got an octopus instead. I really do know the difference, but I must have gotten distracted... I love swirls and spirals. Not cute like I wanted though...

That's it for now. I have a whole list of different animals I want to try sometime. My skills are lacking, but I'm not a terrible as I thought and that's kind of exciting!

I have always found bats extremely cute. Often misunderstood too. I owned rats and pets and loved them dearly, and there is a meme of a rat seeing a bat and saying "an angel". I loved it, it's all matter of perception. I particularly love the flying foxes. so sweet!
I love a bat as an angel! I really think almost any animal can be cute - or at least I have a hard time considering any animal "ugly." They all have their charm...most of them anyway! I'll have to look up flying foxes...not sure I could manage that! But maybe a possum - they are cute in their way but not known very well and therefore feared even though they are harmless and eat lots of ticks! Cheers!
