The trees that once skimmed your hair
With branches that were no thicker than your arms
Now tower above our houses
Pushing up the pavements with their roots
The energy of your laughter
Still carries in their leaves
Your footsteps have fallen silent
But your imprint still remains

I think this may be a long running series.
Very heartfelt poem, and wonderful art. Looking at old photos, even of family I never knew, is so often a bit sad. You've captured that feeling well. Thanks for sharing your art.
Thank you. The photos are personal to me but I deliberately don't talk about them in my work, I want people to connect on their own with the work by bringing their own memories and viewpoints.
