Finding inspiration on a rusty tractor.
Inspiration can be found in the strangest of places. I came across an old tractor, the colour was a delicate weathered grey with just a hint of blue. The yellow lichens were a stark and beautiful contrast to the flaking grey paint.
The rusting old parts of the tractor had an interesting array of shapes. I decided to make this the basis of a quick drawing.
I've already started work on turning these drawings into a painting. I will be sharing that soon.
I wonder where I will find my next source of inspiration!

There's always something nostalgic about old machinery. The gauge looks newer.
I think the tractor is past ever working though!

I love old rusty stuff like that. How did you produce the time-lapse video? It really adds a nice effect!
I just filmed myself drawing on my phone. Edited it, cut bits out and sped it up. I don't have any fancy software, just free stuff.
