My latest painting. Acrylic on stretched canvas 90x90 cm

The inspiration for this painting was found in Lun's olive groves. They are located in the far north of the island of Pag in Croatia. Lun village has around three hundred inhabitants, 20 kilometers away from Novalja. The Mediterranean oasis of peace and tranquility located in the vast forest of unique Lun's olive trees.

Namely, around the settlement itself, since the ancient times, on an area around 400 hectares, there are over 80,000 olive trees growing. Scientists have proved that among them there are more than a 1000 trees older than a 1000 years. Nowhere in the world is there so many wild olives older than a 1000 years in one place.
