Venom, Gone
As a child I was reading lots of Marvel comics. There was no MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) back then, or the plethora of superhero TV series, so I had to patiently wait for the next month to get the local magazine, compiling 3 stories from the best Marvel titles: Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Daredevil, ROM the Spaceknight, etc.
I remember a great storyline, the Secret Wars, where a bunch of super-heros was transported to a distant planet and forced to fight against a bunch of super-villains, all moved there by Galactus. While exploring the planet, Spiderman found a dark parasite that he brought back to Earth and that is how the Venom saga begun! I was very fond of this character and its graphic design, the way the oily alien parasite merged with its hosts, bestowing new powers to them, but also corrupting them.
When I came up with the dark and violet fractal below, Venom immediately surfaced in my memory banks!
I tweaked it a lot to get it in its final form, added more color and brightness and patterns and symmetry, and in the end, it might have lost its original Venom bang, but it is still a fractal I like. Of course, I still have the original Venom fractal and I will certainly start off it again, for a more Venom-y result!
